The bilingual kindergarteners from Servane Audran’s class at Sainte-Marie school followed Jean-Louis \u00c9tienne’s expedition to Antarctica for two months. As they sailed, these budding explorers aged 2 to 4 shared the daily life of the navigator and his sailboat Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance<\/strong>. <\/div>\n

This experience sparked vocations and an overflowing passion, leading to the creation of incredible models,” rejoiced their teacher, delighted by the children’s enthusiasm, for whom the Southern Ocean has become a new playground.<\/p>\n

To share this adventure, the municipal media library is exhibiting, until June 30, the stages of the mission experienced by the schoolchildren, along with models, collages, and other creations inspired by this follow-up.<\/p>\n

This enthusiasm was praised by Jean-Louis \u00c9tienne: “A very big bravo for your model of the sailboat Pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance<\/strong>. You are true budding naval architects. Knowing that our expedition has ignited a spark of curiosity and respect in children is my greatest pride. You are the explorers and protectors of tomorrow. Patience, adventure awaits you.”<\/p>\n
