Back from his latest expedition aboard Persévérance, a flagship of the new generation of ecological oceanographic sailboats, Jean-Louis Etienne, tireless defender of the Living World, tells us about his weeks spent in the Northwest Passage exploring the richness of the Arctic Ocean, “its plankton and phytoplankton, richer than our grasslands.”

“The poles are ambassadors of the situation,” explains the explorer, observing, expedition after expedition, the melting of the sea ice and the warming of the seas.
