Invited by the Université du temps libre du Sud Goëlo, explorer-physician Jean-Louis Étienne gave a lecture on Tuesday at the Roger-Ollivier venue, to an audience of around 400 people.

“Reconnecting with the Earth’s ecosystem” was the theme addressed by the writer, taking into account future challenges such as population growth, energy, and climate.

After recalling his first expeditions with Father Jaouen and having sailed aboard Éric Tabarly’s “Pen Duick”, he showed that “humanity has broken away from the Earth’s ecosystem, which has warmed by 15 degrees in a century”.
