The scientific sailing vessel Persévérance (42 m), designed by Jean-Louis Étienne, has been exploring the Southern Seas and Antarctica since June 2025. It collects oceanographic data via autonomous sensors, which are sent to laboratories to study the role of the oceans in heat exchange.
